Textiles - A Level

City College Norwich

2021 - 2023

For a unit based on Violent Societies, I developed a textile based costume that reflects violence against women from across the world. Using photomontage, free-hand embroidery, block print and dye. My design used Dadaism and Surrealism and my major sources. Ballet Performer - Ella Hand.

For my final exam project, I created a peacock gown inspired by the description of the people of the Capitol in 'The Hunger Games'. This was cut, feathers sprayed and constructed in a 15 hour exam period. Modelled by Cece Murdock.

In my Textiles A Level, I received an A grade and was presented with an excellence award for my textile work across the two years at City College Norwich.

I also studied Film and Geography, and created the short film 'My Little Brother' as a part of my Film Studies A Level. The story focuses on a grieving sibling as they reminisce on times gone by.
