Medea - Costuming Animatronics
Wimbledon College of Art
February - May 2025

This project focused on developing a costume for an animatronic character (although due to a lack of an available animatronic this was done on my model Nina). This project also included making a moving animatronic inside the large wig headpiece! The seams had multiple closures at the sides and back as is per usual for a costume made with a static figure in mind. The design is from the Greek Tragedy of Medea, interpreted in a Georgian style of dress - but not a historical reproduction. This was a challenging project and I learnt many new skills like wig making, making an object move, costuming for a unique performance style, and much more!
