Asbel - Nausicaä Project

I developed both the design and the costume for Asbel in my video game adaptation of the Studio Ghibli film ‘Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind’. The concept focused on Japanese Military garments in combination with the 60s retrofuturism art movement. The final garment was made from all recycled fabric or clothing that was recut into new costumes; a pair of suede trousers became a helmet for example. This was displayed in a short film on YouTube performed by Alice Genus.
