Purgatory Town - Little Dread

This Scare Zone is the newest addition to Thorpe Park's Fright Night roster. It boasted a cast of spooky characters including Little Dread; inspired by Red Riding Hood with a cut throat attitude. The costume for her was designed by myself and created using elements from a reclaimed wedding dress dyed to be pink and brown. The large cape uses patches from costumes of old that many enthusiasts may recognise! The rest of our costume team designed and made different characters and we all pitched in to help. I also worked with Phoebe Tang to create her costume for The Boulevard Maggot, seen next to Little Dread in the first image. All together it's like a Ghost Town!!

Creature Campus - The Franks

For the new rivals to the Sarpedon Society in the Creature Campus Dance Show, Phoebe Tang designed the K-Pop style costumes for The Franks which I was tasked with creating. The costumes were reliant on sourcing the base pieces and appliquéing various green slashes on, finished with the classic large stitching. I added webbing strips or eyelets and strings over the large holes so as not to compromise the integrity of the costumes as they performed over 5 shows per night for a month. For the character of The Monster, I used similar techniques on a boiler suit, dirtying it up to feel more scary than the team of dancers. I also made the light vest with help from the production team to add the lighting elements. This had to be taken on and off in a quick change and fully weatherproof as the show was outdoors. It was a great experiment to work on!

Scare Mazes and Other Attractions

Thorpe Park's 2025 lineup of attractions also included 4 scare mazes: Survival Games, Stitches, Trailers, and Deadbeat. For Trailers and Stitches, we gave the existing costumes a refresh with new blood and dirt; but for Deadbeat and Survival Games they required a whole new set of costumes. Designed by Ethan Connett, Deadbeat has a set of rave costumes in a variety of colours. For Survival Games, Phoebe Tang designed boiler suits with different experiments happening to each character.
The other attractions we had to update were The Crows, Lucifer's Lair and The Franks' rivals The Snakes. The Crows included a new character of The Witch, of which I created using a base dress that I dyed and added dyed strips of chiffon to for a breezy movement.
